Design Stone LLC was formed in 1998 to satisfy the demands of rapid construction growth in Northern Oakland County, Michigan. We found that there were many builders installing the most basic laminate countertops, cheap vinyl or carpet on the floors, and basic tile bathrooms with plastic tubs and showers. We knew there were people with an appetite for better quality and custom craftsmanship. This suspicion was confirmed almost immediately with demand for renovation work on almost-new houses, then by requests for installations on new construction. In recent years, we have found that most of the demand for new work has concentrated on Kitchen and Bath improvements, so we adopted these focal points as part of our corporate identity.
